Sorry it has taken me sooo long to get back to you. I have not stopped since jumping off the plane as we had our visiting Japanese school here. So the trip was AMAZING!!!!!!! Truly amazing!!!!! Some of the kids that came the second time said they thought this one was better. Tokyo and the shorter time was perfect. The art exhibition was a stunner. Kids loved it and I will be going back to spend more time there. Totally worth it. The Japanese amusement park was also a winner!!!!! What a great day compared to the hype of Disney. The fact that we did not go was not an issue for the kids that wanted to see Disney because when we explained the benefits and they understood quickly. The bike ride was cool and a nice change from the last cycling we did on the previous trip.
Samurai Jo was awesome as always. It’s now just nice to catch up with him. Shikoku was wonderful as usual. Cooking classes and rafting … all good. Oh and as you know the Iya Valley accommodation was UNBELIEVABLE – great onsen!! I cannot thank you enough for putting me on track to find our sister school too. They are the perfect match for us. Nakahara is such a nice guy…… I met his mum and dad at the rowing experience too! I wish we had bought omiyage for the guys that took us out that day but I didn’t really know what to expect. You were sooooo right about the great way to finish the trip. It was perfect!!! Such a different way to finish and so chilled.
So once again… well done you!!!!!!! These trips are what I look forward to because of the link I can make between lessons and the outside world. My job is not a job… its my passion to take kids overseas which inspires them to go back on a long exchange and the ball continues to roll after that. The best thing about you as the agent is that not many schools go with you and so we are always doing different things compared to other schools. So pleased I went with you the first time I took a trip those years ago!
Thank you for EVERYTHING…. You outdid yourself again…… me, parents and best of all kids sooooo happy!!!!!!!

Hope you are well. We are still getting great feedback from our trip to Japan. The students are still talking about it.
On a completely different note, we are thinking of taking our family to Japan in the Christmas holidays and was wondering if you look after this sort of stuff too?
We would go for about 2-3 weeks and have Christmas over there. We would be spending about 4 days with friends.
Let me know if you do smaller groups and if can give us a quote.
We can highly recommend Alan Gibson from Orbit Travel as we have done two study tours of Japan and they have been both memorable experiences.
He was recommended by another school and we decided to go with a smaller company with more personal expertise, who would be more flexible with our itinerary, and be able to understand what is important for our students to enjoy Japan.
His experience in the travel industry catering to Japan and with his knowledge, organisation and connections within Japan were an asset in planning our itinerary. Alan focused on the students’ interests to make the trip unforgettable and value for money.
Our school without hesitation will continue to use Alan Gibson from Orbit Travel for future study trips to Japan.

We have been using Japan Specialist to organise our school trips for several years! Alan is very knowledgeable about what works best for school tours, and he always offers us plenty of options to choose from. He is very accommodating for our changing demands and is able to work around our tight schedule which involves sister school visits as well. I would not hesitate to use Alan and his team again 🙂

Apologies for taking this long to get back to you – time has just disappeared since we arrived back.
Overall we had a great trip, very few hiccups. The hotel in Hiroshima was very obliging, allowing us to store our suitcases in their dining room until our early afternoon departure AND THE GELATO WAS FABULOUS! And so appreciated on hot nights. Thank you so much for that.
Our biggest problem was with Mastercard. Yes I know you warned us, however I wasn’t handling the financial planning for the trip and was unaware that the Commonwealth Travel Card, as recommended by Education Qld was in fact a Mastercard. We had no problems once we found the post office ATMS.
All in all, I was very happy with the trip. Thank you Alan for all of your work and suggestions with this. I am starting to get ideas together for the next one.
Thank you again,

Good morning Alan,
How are you??? I hope that you’ve been well. I just wanted to say a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to you, for everything that you did for us and all of your hard work and patience as we worked through arranging our trip to Japan this past week. I heard that it was INCREDIBLE, and the students and teachers both were SUPER impressed. We couldn’t have done it without you, and I truly appreciate you pulling through for us at the last minute and steering us in the right direction.
Thank you again!
