TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Reservations

A non refundable deposit of $500 per person and a reservation request is due at time of booking. The balance of the tour fee is due prior to issue of airline tickets. In most cases this will be within 7 days of confirmation of flights or 70 days prior to departure.
Late bookings:
Bookings made within 14 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received by Trans Orbit at time of reservation. For bookings made within 7 days of departure a fee of $50 will apply. If your booking is for land or accommodation only final payment is due 60 days before your scheduled departure.

Responsibility - Important - Please Read and Understand

Trans Orbit Pty. Ltd acts as a booking agent only for the persons, or organizations providing or offering the means of travel, accommodation, rail, flights, tours and so on and as an agent cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss, accident, delay or any other irregularity outside of our control. The issuance and acceptance of any receipt, voucher, coupon, exchange order, air ticket or itinerary shall be deemed as consent by the client to the above conditions. However, the possession of such documents is solely the passenger's responsibility.

Baggage

Flights to JAPAN: Baggage allowance in economy class travel is 20kg. First Class and Business Class is 30kg. Ski equipment must be in a separate padded ski bag and may be subject to surcharge if total weight is in excess of the allowance.

Cancellation - Please Read Carefully

Cancellation terms are subject to evaluation by Trans Orbit at time of cancellation and change without notice. We reserve the right to charge any third party cancellation costs and to charge a reasonable fee for our services. Ski package terms and conditions are different from standard terms. These are available on request or at time of booking.
CANCELLATIONS FEES ARE SEPARATE FROM THE NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.

Standard Terms

Packages and Tours - Before departure after ticket is issued $1000 per person.
Air fares : Airline cancel fee + Trans Orbit fee $150 per ticket. Airline cancellation fees and refund policies can vary. Conditions are available on request. Normal airline fees are between $100 and $350 per ticket for cancellations prior to departure

Land cancel fees

60 days or more prior to scheduled departure date $150 per person.
45 - 60 days prior to scheduled departure $300 per person.
Less than 45 days prior to scheduled departure: 100% of fee.

Amendment Fees

A charge up to $65 may apply for each and every amendment after booking instructions have been received. This charge is in addition to any cancellation fees that may apply.

Possible Changes:

Trans Orbit reserves the right to change or cancel a tour if we consider it necessary.

PRICES

All prices shown in Trans Orbit / Niseko Ski Tour brochures are based on airfares, taxes and surcharges, and currency exchange rates at brochure publication date and are subject to change without notice for any reason whatsoever. Some prices on the web site are more regularly updated for exchange rate variation.

The final package tour price will be advised on date of final payment or date of final invoice. Invoice may be subject to variation if not paid by the due date. Other local taxes and duties may be payable at your destination. Additional costs caused by weather, failure of transportation services or other circumstances beyond our or our principals control are not included or recoverable. Discount air fares are subject to availability. Where the Tour inclusive discount air fare is not available, Trans Orbit / Niseko Ski Tours will offer an alternative air fare that will incur a surcharge.

Exchange Rates

Costs subject to change until Trans Orbit / Niseko Ski Tour receives full payment based on the current rate of exchange in its offices. Once full payment, including any quoted surcharge has been received prices are guaranteed.

Payment by credit or charge card:

The prices shown are for payments by cash or direct credit to our account. We accept Visa, Master Card, Bankcard, AMEX and JCB. An additional 1% Credit Card Service Fee applies to Visa, Master and Bankcard transactions. An additional 3.5% applies to AMEX and JCB transactions. Agents must pay by Cheque or Direct Deposit.

Airlines

All tour arrangements are performed under the exclusive responsibility of different contractors. Airlines, therefore, act only as agents for the contractors providing the various services herein and do not accept any liability in connection with such services or for any loss, injury or damage to or in respect of any person or property. Airlines will only be responsible for air carriage performed by them. Such air carriage will be subject to the provisions referred to in the conditions of contract contained in the passenger ticket. Qantas Airways Limited and Japan Airlines do not by virtue of their endorsement of TRANS ORBIT PTY LTD's brochures or web site products represent themselves either as contracting with any purchaser of a holiday from Trans Orbit / Niseko Ski Tours or as having any other legal relationship with any such purchase.

Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A policy should be taken out at the time of booking.

Passport And Visas

At time of printing Australian and New Zealand citizens are required to hold a current passport valid during period of travel. We recommend you have at least three months validity effective from date of arrival in Japan. A visa is not required for stays up to 90 days when your purpose is holiday travel.
NOTE: Trans Orbit Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for any losses or additional expenses incurred as a result of a person not holding the required visa or valid passport

Validity

Trans Orbit aims to do its best to keep the packages advertised valid but from time to time may not be able to offer a package, accommodation or service due to its validity being expired.

Not Included

Airport taxes, meals and excess baggage charges. Unless otherwise specified.
